Our Hotline started in 1998 and was the first Austrian hotline for sufferers from Eating Disorders.

Sufferers, parents and relatives, schoolfriends, teachers, school doctors, and everybody who has a question about Eating Disorders.

WHAT IS OFFERED?

Anonymous and competent help!

The HOTLINE – EATING DISORDERS offers the possibility of an anonymous (if required) free and competent help. It is much more easier for sufferers to overcome their inhibitions by a telephone call than by a personal counselling. Telephone calls can be considered as a great advantage because of the strong psychosocial inhibitions of sufferers in expressing problems and because of their missing capacity to understand their eating behaviour as a serious illness.

Personal Consultations

Personal counselling must be arranged by contacting us in advance. First contact has to be made by phone (0512/576026) or by writing an e-mail (info@netzwerk-essstoerungen.at).

Our counselling service aims at informing about Eating Disorders and its treatment, increasing motivation to make use of external help offers and bridging the gap of time until treatment is starting.
